Cody Mills

Cody Mills started his musical journey in the 6th grade, trying out the different instruments presented to him. Clarinet, trombone, and trumpet were all given a chance, but none of them suited his need for high energy involvement. Once he saw the drum set player for the high school football team, Cody knew what he wanted. He promptly decided to change instruments, and after much convincing, received a drum set from his parents (placed in the garage, of course). Cody continued drumming in the Pep Band, and with his friends in the “clubhouse”, as well as taking piano lessons and playing snare drum, xylophone, marimba, and percussion in school ensembles. That is, until he left for the U.S. Army after high school graduation, and he laid his sticks down for 6 years. After serving his country and finding a new life in North Idaho, Cody took a fresh start at life with an education and background in aviation mechanics. While researching drum sets online and sparking that old flame, he discovered a local instructor, Chris Terracciano, and promptly signed up for lessons. After 2 plus years of intensive study, Cody took the tools given to him and continued learning and playing. He can be found playing in the local Sandpoint music scene under the moniker Cody Capone. He has been with the Music Conservatory since the winter of 2013.
