About Us

Welcome to the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint!
The Music Conservatory, founded by Ruth Klinginsmith and Karin Wedemeyer, opened its doors in 2009 with only 16 students in its first semester. Now, in 2013 over 100 students of all levels and ages are part of their many exciting programs and classes. The Conservatory offers one-on-one classes in a great variety of instruments, small group classes, String ensemble, Drama, Musical Theater, Children's Choir and more. All students have plenty of opportunity to perform in recitals and concerts in their style of music from classical to contemporary. The Conservatory has currently a staff of 11 dedicated instructors and is in the process of being accredited.
